History:
The history of Mary Grove College is vey simple, yet exciting. On 10th November, 1845, three catholic sisters laid down the foundation pillars of this great college as Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, or IHMs. Later in 1905, the sisters built a separate St. Mary College. By 1914 the college was entitled to offer both teaching facilities and degrees. In 1925, the college was shifted to a new cite, with the laying of the cornerstone of the present Liberal Arts Building, St. Mary College became MaryGrove College. The College started educating a group of 287 students in 1927. Since then, the college has devoted itself in the process of spreading education.

MaryGrove College, an independent liberal arts college is sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) and is one of the most devoted colleges. The college is committed in the fostering of Christian values, reshaping their students lives and future, providing quality and affordable education, educating all citizens of Metropolitan Detroit and beyond by providing online education facility to it`s devoted students.

The fundamental purpose of MaryGrove College Online is to educate each student toward their intellectual and professional competence; diversified career flexibility through grounding in the liberal arts; and toward active compassion and commitment.

Founded in 1905 in Monroe, Michigan, relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 1927, MaryGrove College now has 53 acres, has six buildings, more than 10,000 students belonging to all parts of the world; with diversified cultural values, and is one of the leading Catholic Christian Colleges offers both on-campus and online education in different programs and at different levels.
