History:
The University was founded by Jesuits, one of the early settlers of New Orleans. In 1849, the first College of New Orleans opened it`s door to the general public. The in on July 10, 1912, the governor signed that Loyola can now grant university degrees too. Since then, Loyola University has devoted herself in the well being, re-shaping and educating students to build their futures.
